Alpaca Staredown started as an experiment 2019 in Düsseldorf, Germany. What sounds like a superhero backstory was actually an attempt to create a sound suitable for metal, punk, and rock using only a guitar and drums. We didn’t turn green and we can’t crawl up walls either. But after the instrumental EP ‘the shearing‘ in 2020, the album ‘Unpacking‘ will be released in 2025, now featuring songs in both German and English about everyday frustrations like ripped shopping bags, a lack of in-game currency, forgotten bathroom lights, and talentlessly playing hide-and-seek.
So, no superpowers here, but Batman doesn’t have any either.
