Alpaca Staredown entstand 2019 in Düsseldorf aus einem Experiment. Was nach Superhelden-Background klingt, war der Versuch, mit nur einer Gitarre und Schlagzeug Metal-, Punk- und Rocktauglichen Sound hinzubekommen. Grün sind wir davon nicht geworden, und auch an Wänden hochkrabbeln können wir jetzt nicht. Aber nach der instrumentalen EP 2020 ‘the shearing’ erscheint Ende 2025 das Album ‘Unpacking’, das nun Deutsch- und Englisch-sprachig vom alltäglichen Frust über reißende Einkaufstüten, Mangel an In-Game-Währung, vergessene Badezimmerlichter, und talentfreiem Versteckspiel erzählt.
Keine Superkräfte also, aber Batman hat ja auch keine.
